Participants will have opportunity to examine their own assumptions and limitations on learning with technology, explore and test out new ideas related to e-learning pedagogies and classroom environment as a community of learning designers in Singapore, and determine what works and evolve new pedagogies and strategies that are unique to the Singapore classrooms.

1.   FORM A SUBJECT TEAM

One subject team (non-SLS pilot subject) per school comprises of HOD ICT(or equivalent), 1 Lead Designer (IP HOD/SH/ST/LT) & 2 other co-designers, supported by the *Vice Principal, in one of the subjects below:

  • English Language

  • Mother Tongue

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • Humanities

*Vice Principals are encouraged to provide feedback to their subject teams on their design before enactment, pre and post-lesson observation and preparation for peer review session.

Register via the email sent by the Zonal ICT Committee and join the SgLDC community.

2.   REVIEW THE CHALLENGE REQUIREMENT

Read through the Design Brief and the Submission Requirements & FAQs.

3.   LEARN AND DESIGN

Attend a 1-day design workshop where you will have access to new knowledge from interacting with learning designers or experts. Hands-on sessions will be available to review current practices, gather new ideas, use SLS, including the SLS Pedagogical Scaffold to determine a specific Teaching and Learning challenge to work on and to work through the various steps in the SLS Pedagogical Scaffold.

4.   DEVELOP AND ENACT YOUR DESIGN

Begin putting together your submission according to the submission requirements.

5.   PITCH AND SHARE YOUR DESIGN

Attend a half-day session to pitch and share your lesson designs supported with learning artefacts with the community. Gather as many votes and your team will be invited to participate in the Learning Designers Symposium 2019.

6.   SUBMIT YOUR LESSON DESIGN

When you’re ready to submit, submit the lesson design via SLS by Dec 2018. Include all the required documents.
